Learn Go

Review the goal through a picture story, then work through the chapters you need one at a time.

Go goal (What is Go?)

A two-player game in which players place stones in turn, capture opposing stones by surrounding them, and compete over the territory enclosed by their own stones.

Scene 1 Place a stone on the intersection Black and White alternate placing one stone on an empty intersection. Once placed, a stone does not move.
Scene 2 Capture by blocking all four orthogonal directions. Empty intersections directly above, below, left, and right of a stone are its liberties. A stone or connected group with no liberties is removed from the board.
Scene 3 Build a safe group and turn it into territory When your stones form a living shape, the opponent cannot invade it easily. Empty intersections enclosed by your stones count as your territory at the end of the game.
